Nogle af \u00e5rsagerne er:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>H\u00f8j p\u00e5lidelighed: Vakuumafbryderens isolator har fremragende isoleringsegenskaber kombineret med en meget h\u00f8j dielektrisk styrke og giver fremragende slukningsegenskaber for lysbuen.<br>Lang levetid: VCB'er har maksimal levetid sammenlignet med andre afbrydere. De har meget lav vedligeholdelse p\u00e5 grund af vakuumkammeret.<br>Den kr\u00e6ver ikke h\u00e5ndtering af gas: VCB indeholder ikke drivhusgasser i mods\u00e6tning til SF6-afbrydere. SF6-afbrydere er det foretrukne valg til h\u00f8jsp\u00e6ndingsapplikationer, prim\u00e6rt p\u00e5 grund af den overlegne lysbueslukning, men kr\u00e6ver omhyggelig h\u00e5ndtering af SF6-gas for at undg\u00e5 at p\u00e5virke milj\u00f8et.
